Overview
Kickoff is a live football score app for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what information the app stores, what it does not collect, and how fixture and score data is retrieved.
Kickoff does not require an account, does not run its own backend for personal user data, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
Information Kickoff Stores
Kickoff may store the following information locally on your device:
- The list of leagues you have toggled on in your watchlist
- Limited app preferences, such as the default tab or filter state
- A short-lived local cache of fixture and score data retrieved from the football data provider
This information is stored in local app storage on your device.
Information Kickoff Does Not Collect
Kickoff does not require you to create an account or provide:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Contacts
- Precise location
- Photos
- Microphone recordings
- Camera data
Kickoff also does not sell your personal information.
Football Data
Fixtures, live scores, and match events are retrieved from a third-party football data provider (API-Football). These requests include standard network information required to deliver a response, such as your IP address, which is handled by the provider under its own privacy policy.
- No account or personal identifier is sent with these requests
- Your league watchlist is applied locally on your device, not on the provider's servers
- Results are cached locally for short periods to reduce network usage and improve speed
How Your Information Is Used
Kickoff uses your information only to provide app features, including:
- Filtering Home, Scores, and Calendar to the leagues in your watchlist
- Showing live match state, fixtures, and the Match Center view
- Remembering app preferences between sessions
Notifications
Kickoff does not send push notifications in its current release. If notifications are added in the future, this policy will be updated and permission will be requested from your device before any are scheduled.
Advertising
Kickoff does not include third-party advertising in its current release. If advertising is introduced in a future release, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe what data, if any, ad partners may receive.
Data Sharing
Kickoff does not share your watchlist or app preferences with a company-operated backend because the app does not use one for this data.
Your data may leave the app only in these situations:
- Requests to the football data provider to fetch fixtures and live scores
- Operating system services, such as local device storage
Data Retention and Deletion
Your preferences remain on your device until you clear them.
You can remove data by:
- Resetting your league watchlist inside the app
- Clearing app data or storage through your device settings
- Removing the app from your device
Security
Kickoff relies on device platform protections and local app storage. No software can guarantee absolute security, but Kickoff is designed to minimize data exposure by keeping preferences on device and by not collecting personal information.
Children's Privacy
Kickoff is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or online service because the app does not provide those features.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If it changes, the updated version will be published with a new "Last updated" date.
